Ehsaas Trust Delivers Food to Flood-Hit Families in Pakistan
When floods struck, hundreds of families were left stranded without food, safe drinking water, or shelter. Homes were swept away, farmland destroyed, and entire communities cut off from basic necessities. For families already living on the edge, the disaster pushed them into a daily fight for survival.
In response, Ehsaas Trust stepped forward to deliver food and water to 100 flood-hit families, bringing not just nourishment but also hope at a time of despair.
Why Food Relief Matters First
After a disaster, food becomes the most urgent need. Families who once depended on their crops, livestock, or local markets suddenly find themselves with nothing to cook, nowhere to buy supplies, and no clean water to drink.
A single hot meal can mean the difference between going to bed hungry or finding the strength to face another day. For children, it provides energy and comfort. For parents, it offers dignity and relief from the constant fear of hunger.
This is why Ehsaas Trust made food delivery the first step in its flood relief efforts.
Delivering Relief to 100 Families
With the support of donors, Ehsaas Trust provided 100 families in Multan with:
- A freshly cooked hot meal
- Safe drinking water
- Biscuits for children
Each package was small, but for families who had gone days without proper food, it made an enormous difference. Mothers could feed their children with confidence. Elders could eat without worry. Families could rest knowing they were not forgotten.
This effort is part of Ehsaas Trust’s commitment to ensure that no family is left behind in the wake of the floods.
More Than Numbers, It’s About Lives
Statistics tell part of the story: 100 families fed, hundreds of meals served, but the real impact lies in the lives touched.
- A mother who no longer has to choose between feeding her children and drinking unsafe water.
- Children who can finally eat, play, and sleep without hunger pains.
- Elders who find comfort in knowing their community stands with them.
Every package delivered carried with it not just food but compassion, dignity, and the reassurance that help has arrived.
Part of a Larger Relief Mission
This food distribution effort is one piece of Ehsaas Trust’s broader 30-day Rescue and Relief Camp in Multan, where 100 families are receiving continuous support, including:
- 42,000 meals across the camp’s duration
- Medical care through a dedicated camp
- Clean water via hand pumps and jerry cans
- Shelter with tents and tarpaulin flooring
- Hygiene and safety with kits, mosquito nets, and sanitation units
Beyond Multan, Ehsaas Trust’s Hot Meal Distribution Program is reaching flood-hit families daily in Kabirwala, Peerwala, Layyah, and Muzaffargarh. Here, 100 families are served hot meals, water, and snacks every day.
This means the impact of your support extends far beyond a single camp it is touching lives across South Punjab.
